Assessment

Comprehensive testing from start to finish

A proper hearing test takes time and skill. We use the best equipment and methods to understand exactly how your ears work.

Methods

Tests that tell the truth

Each test reveals something different

Tympanometry

Tympanometry testing measures how your middle ear transmits sound by creating air pressure variations in the ear canal and graphing eardrum movement.

Air Conduction

Air conduction testing measures how sound travels through your ear canal and middle ear to reach
the inner ear, giving us your overall hearing
ability.

Bone Conduction

Bone conduction testing bypasses the outer and middle ear by sending vibrations directly to the inner ear, helping us identify where hearing loss originates.

FAQ

Questions about hearing tests and what to expect

How long does testing take?

Most appointments run thirty to forty-five minutes. We never rush. The time depends on which tests you need and how thorough we must be.

Should I prepare for anything?

Come with clean ears. Avoid loud noise for a few hours before your test. Bring a list of any medications you take. That is all.

What do the results mean?

We show you an audiogram that maps your hearing at different frequencies. We explain what you can and cannot hear. We talk about what comes next.

Will it hurt or feel strange?

No pain. Some tests use soft earphones. Others use a bone vibrator. Nothing is uncomfortable. You simply listen and respond.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. A family member or friend can sit with you. They can hear the results too. Sometimes another set of ears helps.
